Page under construction

This page is a work in progress! We'll be adding additional content soon.

This page describes the different types of accounts used at Millikin.

myMILLIKIN

As a Millikin student, faculty, staff member, or alumnus, your myMILLIKIN account is your primary "Millikin" account.  Most Millikin services use the same username and password as your myMILLIKIN credentials.  For example:

  • E-mail
  • Wireless access
  • Logging onto a MIllikin computer

Password policy

myMILLIKIN passwords expire every 180 days and must be changed.

When your password will expire in 14 days, you will receive a notification in myMILLIKIN, in the red myALERTS section at the top of the page.  This will remind you to change your myMILLIKIN password, and provide a quick link to do so.

If you do not change your password and allow it to expire, some services may stop working (such as e-mail, especially on smartphones), but you are provided 10 "grace logins" to access myMILLIKIN in order to change your password.  The yellow warning notification in myMILLIKIN will change to a red warning, indicating that you are using grace logins and should change your password immediately.

If you still don't change your password after using your 10 grace logins, you will need to reset your myMILLIKIN password in order to access myMILLIKIN, e-mail, and other services.

Banner

Banner accounts are not synchronized with myMILLIKIN.  Your Banner password is saved separately, and does not change automatically with your myMILLIKIN password.  You can set your Banner password to the same password as myMILLIKIN, but it will not change when you change your myMILLIKIN password.
