How To Use HoverCam

Millikin currently provides a HoverCam document camera in most all classrooms.  These are operated through a program on the classroom PC called HoverCam Flex 11.  The HoverCam can also be used as a web camera for Skype, Zoom, and Teams.

Step-by-step guide

To operate HoverCam
  1. To use the document camera, open the HoverCam Flex 11 Program on the desktop of the computer.  Once open, the camera will automatically display.  To adjust the image use the tool bar at the bottom of the screen while in the program to zoom, focus, rotate image etc.  There is also a annotate menu on the right side of the screen that allows you to underline, circle, make boxes, and add arrows on your document while it is displayed.
  2.  Select the PC input button on the Extron controls to display the document camera on the projected image.  The computer image will then be displayed and you can open the HoverCam Flex 11 program to use the document camera.  If the computer does not display, press the "Windows" button and the "P" button simultaneously, then select "duplicate".  For SCO 207, to display the document camera on the TV monitors, use the "show content" button on the touch screen.
  3. On the base of the camera, or in the Flex 11 software, use the "AF" button to Auto-Focus the projected image.  If the image continues to auto-focus, use the "AF-L" (auto-focus lock) button to lock the image when focused as desired.
