We have several adapters available in the Media services office that will allow you to connect your Mac or Windows laptop to the projector in classrooms. Most classrooms are equipped with a VGA connection to connect a laptop to the projector. If your laptop does not have a VGA input we may have an adapter that will work for you. The adapters we have on hand are:
- VGA to Thunderbolt
- VGA to Mini Display Port
- VGA to HDMI
- Mini Display Port to VGA, DVI, and HDMI
- VGA to micro HDMI
- HDMI to Mini Display Port
- VGA to Apple 30 pin
- HDMI to Apple 30 pin
- VGA to Lightning
If you have questions about what adapter you may need please feel free to call the Media Services office at 424-6238, email us at media@millikin.edu or stop by the office with your device
Most classrooms have a VGA connection and audio connection available at the teacher station to connect a laptop to the projector or display. After connecting to your laptop press the laptop button on the Extron controller to switch to this input.
Adapters can be used with laptops that do not have a VGA connection available. Just connect the adapter that works with your device and to the VGA cable in the classroom and connect the audio cable to your device and you are ready to display your laptop image.
Also, adapters can be used to connect an ipad to the classroom projector or display.
We are currently in the process of adding additional laptop connections across campus. Currently most rooms in Scovill have been upgraded to have these connections. Other locations that have them are Shilling 311 and 312, also Griswold 226 and 227.
