Millikin's public access printers can be installed on students' computers to print papers from your dorm room.
Step-by-step guide
- Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
In the box that opens, type \\muwinprint and press OK.
Make sure to use backslashes \ instead of forward slashes /. It really does make a difference!
- Your computer will ask for a username and password to connect to our print server.
In the username field, you'll need to enter AT\ and your myMILLIKIN username. For example, if your myMILLIKIN username is jsmith, you'd enter AT\jsmith in the username box.
In the password box, enter your myMILLIKIN password.
You can check the "Remember my credentials" checkbox if you'd like your computer to remember your password for printing.
Once you've entered your username and password, click OK. You'll see a list of Millikin's public access printers. Find a printer you'd like to install and double-click on it.
- In some versions of windows, you'll see a pop-up message asking, "Do you trust this printer?" If you receive this message, click the "Install driver" button to install the printer on your computer.
That's it! The printer will now appear on your computer as an option any time you go to the Print dialog.
You will need to authorize your print jobs as usual when printing to Millikin's printers.
