Problem
When attempting to project an image from a Mac computer no image is displayed or the image is not showing the complete desktop
Solution
Press the Command button + F1 on the keyboard and the image should then be mirrored on the display. If this does not work please follow the steps below to manually mirror your Mac computer image to the projector or display.
- Make sure Mac is connected to video cable to projector (usually VGA) you will probably need an adapter to do this. Please see the Adapters page in the page tree for information on what adapters we have available for checkout from Media Services.
- Once connections are made from Mac to the projector or display, click on the Apple Menu in the top left corner of your screen
- Select System Preferences from the drop down menu
- Select theDisplaysicon
- When Displays window opens, click on Detect Displays button
You should now be projecting the image from your Mac on the projector. If you still are not seeing your image displayed please try the following:
- Click on the Apple Menu (top left corner of screen)
- Select System Preferences from drop down menu
- Select Displays icon
- When Displays window open, select Arrangement tab in the menu bar
- Check Mirror Displays box in the lower left hand corner of the window
You should now be mirroring your display on the projector ( it may take a few seconds to display.)
