Contact an academic department to have your name changed in our administrative system (Banner):
If you are a studentStudent, contact our Registrar's Office.
If you are an alumnusAlumnus, contact our Alumni and Development Office.
If you are faculty or staffare a Faculty or Staff Member, contact Human Resources.
Once your name has been changed in our administrative system, you'll automatically receive an e-mail from Information Technology asking if you'd like to update services like your e-mail account, Moodle, and myMILLIKIN. When you receive this e-mail, you can reply to it and let us know when would be a good time to rename your myMILLIKIN account.

Renaming your account takes about 10 minutes. During Account takes a couple of minutes to synchronize across our systems. During that time, we recommend you avoid accessing any access to Millikin services, Services - including myMILLIKIN and your Millikin eE-mail accountMail Account. If you are currently taking classes, your username Username for myMILLIKIN cannot be renamed until after the grades have been posted at the end of the semester. This is because Moodle cannot associate your new name with your old name, so thus causing any quizzes, grades, or assignments would to not transfer correctly. In this case, we can update the display name on your account, however, but your username Username and eE-mail address Mail Address cannot be changed until the end of the semester. |
