Microsoft Teams is a hub for collaboration. A team is a collection of people, conversations, files, and tools — all in one place. A channel is a discussion in a team, dedicated to a department, project, or topic. The best way to get familiar with teams and channels setup your team and channel and start exploring

Accessing Teams:

Teams Web app

Log in to myMIllikin> Log in to your Millikin email>Click on the dot menu in the upper left-hand corner> Select Teams

 

Desktop App

Search on your Millikin assigned computer for Teams to see if you already have it installed.  If not, you can download the Teams Desktop app that the following link. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app

 

Outlook Teams Plugin

Teams integrates with Microsoft Outlook so you can start a Teams Meeting directly from your Outlook calendar. Once you have downloaded the Teams Desktop App your Outlook plugin should appear if it doesn’t shutdown Teams Desktop app and shutdown Outlook.  Then open Teams and then open Outlook
