General Printing Information

This page is a work in progress! We'll be adding additional content soon.
Public access printers
Millikin provides several printers in our computer labs and residence halls that are available for students, faculty, and staff.
Installing printers
Public access printers can be installed on computers running Windows or Mac OS X.
Print balance
Students receive 1,000 pages in their myMILLIKIN account each academic year. Â These pages are used when printing from a public access printer - by authorizing a print job, you provide your consent for the pages in that print job to be deducted from your account.
You can purchase additional print pages from MU Online, under Student Services & Financial Aid > Purchase More Pages at the rate of $5.00 for 500 pages. Â This balance is added to your Millikin account.
Bringing your own printer
Want to bring your own printer to campus?  Cool, you can definitely do that!  We recommend a printer that connects to your computer with a USB cable.
If you're looking for a wireless printer, make sure it's compatible with WPA2 Enterprise encryption. Â A lot of wireless printers don't support this, which means that they can't be connected to the wireless network at Millikin. See our Network & Internet page for more information.
Office printers
IT provides support for faculty and staff to use networked printers on their office computers.
We do not provide support for office printers connected via a USB cable, nor do we support networked printers installed on non-Millikin equipment. Â To print documents from a personal (non-Millikin) device, please use the public access printers available to our students.
Watts copy systems
Copiers on campus are supported by Watts copy systems. Â If you're having trouble printing from a Watts copier, feel free to contact Watts and ask for support! Â Their techs are friendly and helpful, and they work closely with Millikin's IT department in case there's a networking issue.
When contacting Watts, be sure to have the ID number of the copier available. Â This is printed on the Watts label on the side of the machine.
